PROJECTSPICKUP
Project Connect is making it easier for customers to affordably access schools, grocery stores, doctor's offices and other locations in their neighborhoods. With Pickup by CapMetro, riders can arrange on-demand transit service anywhere within the Pickup service zone. As part of Project Connect, four Pickup zones have been launched since 2021:
- Dessau
- South Menchaca
- North Oak Hill
- Dove Springs
Riders may book a trip anywhere within a single service zone for the same cost as a trip on CapMetro bus and Rapid, $1.25. As with all CapMetro services, kids ride free.

Pickup Zones
Pickup is a local rideshare option that allows customers to schedule on-demand transit service to an appointment, a shopping trip, a transit center or Park & Ride, or anywhere else within the Pickup zone service area. Project Connect includes plans to add new Pickup services in and around Austin to make it easier for customers to access the transit system from where they live.
The newest zones include:
- Pickup Dove Springs
- Pickup North Oak Hill
- Pickup South Menchaca
- Pickup Dessau
